About Us
About Planet Re-imagined
At Planet Re-imagined, we believe that the clothes you wear — and any other consumption or production choice you make — can be a powerful statement. Not just about your style, but about the kind of world you want to live in. We are an eco-friendly apparel brand committed to promoting Responsible Production and Consumption, a core pillar of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 12 (SDG 12).
We exist to prove that fashion and sustainability are not mutually exclusive — that you can look good and feel good without hurting the planet, all at the same time. We achieve this by providing consumers with fashion that is durable, comfortable, and affordable.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to make sustainable fashion accessible, meaningful, and beautiful.
Every product we offer is thoughtfully designed and ethically produced using eco-friendly materials — from organic cotton to recycled fibres — so that your everyday choices contribute to a healthier planet. We partner with suppliers who share our values, ensuring that every item in our store meets the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility.
We also embrace a Print-on-Demand (POD) production model as a deliberate choice to eliminate overproduction. Every item is made only when ordered — meaning zero unsold stock, less waste, and a significantly smaller environmental and social footprint.
We are guided by four core principles of sustainable production and consumption:
- Decoupling Economic Growth — We believe it is possible to grow as a business without increasing our environmental and social footprints. By choosing sustainable materials and responsible production methods, we demonstrate that economic progress and ecological and social health can go hand in hand.
- Life Cycle Perspective — We think beyond the point of sale. From the sourcing of raw materials to the end of a garment's life, we consider the full environmental and social impacts of every product we create — designing for durability, quality, and minimal waste.
- Circular Economy — We are committed to reducing waste and keeping resources in use for as long as possible. We encourage our customers to care for their garments, repair rather than replace, and make mindful purchasing decisions that support a circular, regenerative economy.
- Education as Empowerment — We believe that sustainable fashion is most powerful when paired with education. Understanding the environmental and social impacts of our choices is what shifts behaviour from passive consumption to informed, responsible action. Through our blog, product pages, and community content, we help customers understand the lifecycle of every garment they buy — and beyond. Because we believe education for sustainable consumption shouldn’t stop at what we sell. From food to electronics to travel, informed choices in every area of life are what collectively drive the change our planet needs.
Our Production Partners
Our sustainability commitments are only as strong as the partners we work with. That's why we have carefully selected two of the most sustainability-focused production partners in the industry — Printful and Teemill — both of whom share our values and back their claims with independently verified certifications.
Printful fulfils our products using industry-leading sustainable practices:
- Printing is done using Kornit printers that generate almost zero wastewater and use less energy than standard industry printers
- All inks are Oeko-Tex™ certified, vegan, water-based, and free of harmful chemicals
- Embroidery is done with 100% recycled polyester threads, also Oeko-Tex™ certified and safe for both adult and children's clothing
- Organic products are verified with GOTS or OCS certificates; recycled products with GRS or RCS certificates
- All apparel is packed in post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic mailers with a minimum of 70% PCR content. Download Printful's Sustainability Commitment (PDF)
Teemill operates on a fully circular model, participating in the following industry-leading certification programs:
- GOTS — Global Organic Textile Standard, the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres
- OEKO-TEX Standard 100 (Annex 4 & 6) — a worldwide independent testing and certification system for textile manufacturing
- OEKO-TEX DETOX TO ZERO — compliant with the Greenpeace Textile Procurement Standard, ensuring no discharge of hazardous chemicals
- SA8000 — Social Accountability International's leading social certification standard, covering child labour, forced labour, health and safety, working hours, and compensation
- Fairtrade FLOCERT — ensuring supply chains meet the social, environmental, and economic standards set by Fairtrade International
- GRS — Global Recycling Standard, verifying recycled content and responsible social, environmental, and chemical practices. Download Teemill's Sustainability Commitment (PDF)
Together, these partnerships allow us to stand behind every sustainability claim we make — with full transparency and third-party verification.
Our Vision
We envision a world where sustainable consumption is the norm, not the exception — where every purchase is an opportunity to support people and the planet.
At Planet Re-imagined, we are building more than a clothing brand. We are building a community of conscious consumers who understand that small, everyday choices — like choosing an organic cotton t-shirt over a fast-fashion alternative — can collectively drive transformational change.
Our vision is to be a leading voice in the sustainable fashion movement in Canada and beyond, inspiring individuals, communities, and industries to reimagine their relationship with the planet.
Together, let's re-imagine a better planet. 🌍💚
